Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED · JUNE 3, 2026
ClickWhirr ("we," "us") runs a shared event camera: guests shoot photos that stay sealed until a host's reveal time, then develop for everyone at once. This policy explains what we collect and why. It applies to the ClickWhirr website, iOS app, and Android app.
What we collect
- ·Photos you take at an event, and the time/attribution (which guest shot which frame).
- ·A guest name and an optional selfie you provide when joining a roll.
- ·For hosts: an email address used to sign in (passwordless), and the events you create.
- ·Basic technical data needed to run the service (device push token if you opt into reveal notifications, request logs).
How we use it
- ·To run the core product — collect a roll, keep it sealed until reveal, then show the developed gallery to the event's participants.
- ·To notify you when a roll develops, if you opt into notifications.
- ·To prevent abuse and keep the service reliable.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your photos to train models or for advertising.
The sealed-until-reveal rule
Before a roll's reveal time, photo image data is not retrievable by anyone — including the host. Raw photos live in private storage and are never served publicly. This is enforced on our servers, not just in the app.
Storage & processing
Photos are stored in private object storage (Cloudflare R2). Accounts, event data, and attribution are stored in a managed Postgres database (Supabase). Payments, if any, are processed by Stripe; we never store card numbers.
Retention & deletion
- ·Events expire after the host's chosen window, after which the roll is archived.
- ·Hosts can delete their account from within the app (Profile → Delete account), which removes their events and the associated photos.
- ·To request deletion of a specific photo or your guest data, contact us (below) and we'll remove it.
Children
ClickWhirr is not directed to children under 13.
